Goals!

I’ve set my goals for the year. One of the best things I learned in high school was to write down goals and put them where they will be seen on a daily basis. What better place than my blog! As I move towards accomplishing my goals, I’ll be adding notes (and links when possible) about what I’ve done. Here is the original post.

1. Use an entire box of baking soda and can of baking powder.

Baking Soda:

13 January – 1 teaspoon – Buttermilk Pancakes

21 January – 2 teaspoons – Chocolate Zucchini Bread

3 February – 1/2 teaspoon – Buttermilk Pancakes

7 February – 1/2 teaspoon – White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

12 February – 3/4 teaspoon – Peanut Butter Cookies

23 February – 1 teaspoon – Chocolate Chip Cookies

26 February – 1/2 teaspoon – Buttermilk Pancakes

16 March – 1 Tablespoon – Guinness Chocolate Cake

14 April – 1/2 teaspoon – thick, chewy oatmeal raisin cookies

14 April –  1/2 teaspoon – Perfect Small Batch Chocolate Cupcakes

15 April – 2 teaspoons – Chocolate Zucchini Bread

17 April – 1/2 teaspoon – Butterscotch Amish Friendship Bread

Baking Powder:

13 January – 1/2 teaspoon – Buttermilk Pancakes

3 February – 1/2 teaspoon – Buttermilk Pancakes

12 February – 1/2 teaspoon – Peanut Butter Cookies

26 February – 1/2 teaspoon – Buttermilk Pancakes

14 April –  1/2 teaspoon – Perfect Small Batch Chocolate Cupcakes

16 April – 2 teaspoons – Herman the German Cake

17 April – 1 1/2 teaspoon – Butterscotch Amish Friendship Bread

2. Use an entire jar of yeast.

13 January – Anadama Bread

3 February – Cinnamon Raisin Bread

10 March – White Bread

30 March – Cinnamon Raisin Bread

30 March – Hot Cross Buns

8 April – Herman the German starter

3. I want to try a new recipe every week.

7 January:  Roasted Cauliflower Risotto (forgot to take photos, I’ll make this again.)

17 January: Indian Cauliflower (I would recommend this. Link is to Ideal Housewife)

28 January: Stewed Chicken and Chickpeas

9 February: Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding (I adapted from this recipe and had I taken photos there would be a blog post.)

18 February: Shrimp Gumbo with Andouille Sausage (My first attempt at making a roux!)

4. Complete one project a month during the school year. And one a week during the summer months.

5 January: Sweet Birthday Skirts

21 January: Fabric Cup Sleeves

18 February: Failed attempt at a wrap shirt. It looks great on the dress form!

27 March: Washi Tape Frames (post coming!)

6 April: Laurel Muslin

13 April: Laurel Flapper Dress (post coming!)

5. Dragging my boyfriend to various tourist destinations around central Florida.

6 January: Florida Aquarium

26 January: Polk Museum of Art (Link is to museum.)

27 February: Bok Tower Gardens (Previous visit and Official Site) and Strawberry Picking (Both with my sister and niece)

23 – 27 March: Charleston, SC (post coming!)
